Appalachian Electronic Instruments (AEI) is pleased to announce the appointment of new President Gary McComas following the 18-year distinguished tenure of Larry Nickell, son of founder Creigh Nickell.
McComas assumes his role as president after serving AEI for six years, most recently as director of operations and product manager. Born and raised in West Virginia, McComas earned an A.A.S in Electrical Engineering Technology from Marshall University, a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Science from Bluefield State College, and an MBA from West Virginia University.
“I am honored to take on this role, and I don’t take lightly its importance. Fostering the responsible growth of AEI and maintaining our respected position in the global textile industry are my primary goals,” McComas said. Adding, “I especially want to thank Larry for his leadership and vision and I wish him the best in his retirement.”
For more than 60 years, AEI has specialized in quality control solutions for the textile industry. Their warp processing, knitting, and tufting innovations lead the global market.
