Last month, the AEI team traveled to Barcelona, Spain for ITMA 2019, the world’s largest textile and garment technology conference. The nearly two-week long event that only occurs every four years was an opportunity for industry leaders to connect and talk about what’s next in textile.
“It was the best turnout of any previous ITMA show. We had almost 200 visitors from 47 countries, making it a record-breaker for us,” says Moe Bessette, director of sales.
The corporate team and several AEI agents from across the globe were on hand to share the company’s latest developments. Established clients and new leads alike were eager to learn about the WarpScan PROLine, the latest in camera-based yarn break stop motion for warper and beamer applications.
In addition, the TuftX family of products providing single yarn monitoring for broken yarn, end outs and tight ends was unveiled to the global market. The TuftX OEM and TuftX Modular both garnered enthusiasm from manufacturers. Both models will be available for sale in the 4th quarter of 2019.
“I’ve said this before, but ITMA reinforced what I’ve been echoing for some time—the textile industry is strong. Moreover, I am confident that AEI is positioned to grow and evolve with the new technologies coming down the pike,” says company president Gary McComas.
